MARY CLARE CARROLL SAMPLER CHART
An original sampler designed by the Barrister’s sister, Mary Clare Carroll, in 1738 is now a Reproduction Sampler from one of Maryland’s oldest families. A Mount Clare Museum House Authentic Reproduction Sampler by Samplers Revisited© is now available. The original 1738 sampler is on view at Mount Clare Museum House.
The sampler chart includes 17 graphed pages, 3 pages of instructions, history of the original sampler, the sampler maker and the Barrister's house. The reproduction measures 249 by 475 stitches, making it 14" by 25.5" on 36 count linen. Stitches include Cross, Algerian Eye, Satin, Stem, Back, French Knot, Straight, Long-armed Cross, and Random Cross stitch. It is for intermediate stitchers.

MOUNT CLARE 1760 SAMPLER CHART
Designed exclusively for Mount Clare by Samplers Revisited©
the chart
depicts Mount Clare with the original hyphens and wings in proper 18th
century fashion. The model for this chart was stitched entirely in
backstitch with one strand of DMC 580 on 28 count Lakeside Maritime White
Linen. Stitch count is 157 wide by 102 high. The chart is in color for
ease of stitching and also may be stitched on 14 count evenweave fabric
if you prefer. The finished model is 7.5" by 11" and fits into a standard
sized 11" x 14" frame.

BARRISTER'S COUNTRY HOME SAMPLER CHART
Designed exclusively for Mount Clare by Samplers Revisited© the chart depicts
Mount Clare (Charles Carroll's country home) as it is depicted on painted
Baltimore furniture of the time. The model for this chart was stitched
in cross stitch with two strands of DMC and backstitched with one strand of
DMC on 32 count Light Examplar Lakeside linen. Measuring 74 stitches in each
direction, the model is 4.5" square. If stitched on 14 count evenweave fabric
it will be 5.3" square. This chart is suitable for beginners.
